The East Coast will lean warm during the period while the Midwest is variable. Chicago highs will be in the low-mid 80s. NYC can expect highs in the low-mid 80s and Washington D.C. highs in the low 90s. Higher than normal humidity is expected across PJM and the Northeast during the period but this also means risks for precipitation during most of the period. Texas will see highs in the low-upper 90s. No major heat is expected out West with mostly seasonal temperatures. Expect Burbank highs in the low-mid 80s and Portland highs in the mid-upper 70s.

Models are in decent agreement this morning regarding a more broadly warm pattern for the U.S., especially for the MidCon. The GFS ensemble remains the warmest with coast to coast warmth. However, all models do depict a retrogression of the warm ridge back towards the West by late period. Even with the broad warmer changes, confidence is still low at this time as variable for the eastern half of the U.S. is likely to continue.
