Warmth early in the period will fade by mid-late period along the East Coast. Washington D.C. highs will fall from the mid 80s into the low 70s. Chicago highs will be in the mid 50s-mid 60s and lows in the mid-upper 40s. Coolest anomalies will be across the north-central Plains and Rockies. Texas highs will fall briefly to below normal levels Sun-Mon as Houston highs fall from the upper 80s into the upper 70s-low 80s but rebound back to the mid 80s Tue-Wed next week.
Models are at odds over timing of storms systems during the period with mostly near normal/seasonal maps. The one thing they agree on is a warmer/drier look for the Western U.S. Current expectations for the map tomorrow morning are for warmth across California, the Southwest and Southeast while the Plains, Midwest and Northeast are seasonal.
